Adopt-a-Trail
Do you have a favorite trail on one of the Land Trust’s conserved properties? Would you like a great reason to spend some time outdoors?
As we increase the number of public conservation areas and related trails, we’ll need the help of local people who want to make sure they are well-cared for. We’re always looking for folks who would be interested in basic trail maintenance (keeping the trails clear of debris, removing trash, reporting downed trees, etc.), or would like to help with habitat restoration.
It doesn’t need to take a lot of time and training is available. The type of project or task can be tailored to your skills and your availability, interests, and needed work.
Spending time outside with my two sons, exploring nature while also giving back…I looked forward to it every month.

Adopting a trail is a great way for you to make a difference—right here in your community—and have fun at the same time. It’s also a great way to inspire kids to enjoy nature.
