Conservation can last forever: in the clean water lapping our islands and shoreline, in the trails overlooking Lake Champlain, and in the salamanders our kids discover. You can make sure that happens in more and more areas around the Lake with a legacy gift through your will.
It’s simple to do–and the impact will last for generations.
A bequest can be made by naming the Lake Champlain Land Trust as a charitable beneficiary either in your existing will (by adding an update, called a codicil) or when establishing a new will.
Suggested Language:
“I give, devise and bequeath to Lake Champlain Land Trust, Inc., a Vermont nonprofit corporation, now of Burlington, Vermont, assets having a value equal to ___% of my gross estate to be used for its general charitable purposes.”
- If you are considering a restricted gift or gift of land, please call Chris Boget, Executive Director at (802) 862-4150 to discuss your vision and interest so we can match it with our work. All conversations are confidential.
